Many would-be authors stop writing their book (or never start) because they feel overwhelmed.
Podcast2Book simplifies the process by revealing that your book may already be written, or well on the way there, if you have a podcast.
Let us show you how simple it can be to write and publish a book.
Can I turn my podcast into a book?
If you’re asking yourself if you can turn your podcast into a book, you’ve found the right page on my website. Yes, it’s possible, and it’s a great idea. (The books in the moving image below all started as podcasts.)
The truth is, you may have already written your book without realizing it. If you have a podcast with solo episodes where you share stories and ideas that are meaningful to you, it’s likely your book already exists in audio form.
Did you know many authors use dictation to write their books?
Readers love the conversational style that results when books are written via dictation and transcription. As a podcaster or someone who has recorded original content, you may already have enough value-packed recorded material for an inspiring full-length book. Turning your recorded words into a book requires putting time, effort, and research into:
Ideation (What central idea holds your book together? Is this the right book for you to write?)
Developmental editing (shaping the flow of the book)
Transcription
Line editing
Copyediting
Document design
Cover design
Market research
Launch lead-up
Advance reader recruitment
Indie book publishing
It takes time to research, learn, and implement each of these steps at the quality level you’re aiming for with your book. You probably have things you’d rather do with your time. Or you may simply know your life and business are best served by partnering with experts. That’s where my team and I come in.
As a book doula, writing coach, and editor, I support my clients with podcasts or recorded audio content through the process completing and independently publishing their books. This process of self-publishing with the guidance of professionals who provide these services is sometimes called team publishing (because you’re working with experienced publishing professionals) or hybrid publishing (because it’s the best of both worlds of self-publishing and traditional publishing).
Whether you call it team publishing or hybrid publishing, with this path you’ll be keeping ownership of your book, including all the publishing rights and creative control. You’ll be able to move faster than traditional publishing, and you won’t have to wait to earn out your advance to begin seeing monthly royalty payments coming in. Self publishing via the team or hybrid path is often more lucrative than traditional publishing.
Details
In this offering (Podcast2Book), we will take some of your podcast episodes and turn them into a published book that is available for purchase on Amazon in at least two formats. By design, this offering is low time-investment for you (but you get to maintain creative control and, of course, all legal publishing rights). As your book coach, I’ll apply my decade plus of experience in writing, editing, and publishing to save you many hours of work.
The reality is you’ve already written your book. I’ll simply repurpose what you’ve already created into another format, saving you time and effort. I’ll support you at the level you need to overcome the obstacles standing between you and publishing your book.
Once you have your manuscript, and you love how it reads and looks, I'll then guide you through the process of publishing to eBook and print-on-demand paperback via Kindle Direct Publishing. Cover design and sales page content is included in this offering. That means within a matter of months (not years like traditional publishing) you could have your book launched in two formats.
I’ll even let you in on the secrets I’ve learned when it comes to launching your book and giving it every chance possible to stand out as an Amazon Best Seller.
Authoring a book can help you grow your audience so you can reach even more people. My clients also enjoy the additional income stream of monthly book royalties.
Why Hire Genevieve?
Hire me because you want to take the confusion and costly trial and error out of today’s book writing and publishing process. I can help you smooth out the bumps on your journey through writing and indie publishing a book.
A little more about me: I majored in Creative Writing at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 2007, I moved out west. After spending three years studying story and screenwriting in Hollywood, California, I began professionally mentoring other screenwriters and offering script consultations. For over a decade now, I've collaborated with writers and other creatives all over the world as a coach, editor, script doctor, ghostwriter, book coach, and publishing consultant. I’ve written books of my own, too.
Whether you call me your editor, your book doula, your ghostwriter, your publishing coach, or some other creative term, I’m all about helping you to tell your story with love, and then to hit “publish.” It takes dedication and accountability to get to the moment you’re holding your published book in your hands. Let me help you create a book that builds your business, improves the reach or your message, and makes the world a better place.

Pricing
Your first consultation is free. From there, pricing varies depending on the book’s length, complexity of the project, and what individual deliverables are included in the package.
Note: My clients generally choose to independently publish with Amazon’s KDP program. Amazon enables print-on-demand publishing for paperback and hardcover, and simplified distribution for eBook and audiobook. Consultancy on this publishing route (Amazon KDP) is included in my pricing for all packages. This could change, but is currently the suggested route in today’s publishing climate for writers and leaders who don’t yet have literary representation.
